Shifting Gears at Uthango

We are making a few changes...
[ By Dorette Steenkamp on 18 June, 2011 ]

We would like to inform our loyal supporters that we are all well at Uthango, and have been spending substantial time on revisiting our vision and strategy.

Erna Sittig, one of our Directors, had the opportunity to be a speaker at the recent World Economic Forum Africa - which also shaped our thinking again. Over the next few months, you will see some changes and new partnerships unfold. We are excited about the future.

The Directors and Co-Founders consolidated many of the lessons learned in pro-poor projects to maximise social impact of the company.

We thank you for your continued interest and support. In the mean time, we also invite you to follow us on Twitter @uthango ...

Substance is enduring, form is ephemeral. Failure to distinguish clearly between the two is ruinous. Success follows those adept at preserving the substance of the past by clothing it in the forms of the future. Preserve substance; modify form; know the difference. The closest thing to a law of nature in business is that form has an affinity for expense, while substance has an affinity for income.
