Achievements and Some Success Stories

We have been through the grind of very tough lessons in development, and have achieved successes in spite, or because of (!!) difficult times. A passion for pioneering innovation has driven us to seek solutions for poverty and go where some fear to tred... Most of our success stories are linked to breaking new ground in development practices and ensuring benefits to communities. We treasure our relationships with individual beneficiaries as people matter most in our projects. The stories of their lives, and their successes, we acknowledge and celebrate, as these have inspired us...

Northern Cape Retailers complete Business Plans!

We are pleased to report that 92 small retailers based in and around Kimberley successfully completed their training on 20 March 2007!

Thank you to Stephanie Roodt, Hanlie de Villiers and Richard Holloway who facilitated an excellent programme. The business owners are now closer to growing their enterprises systematically.

The participants were recruited with assistance from Umsobomvu Youth Advisory Centre and its provincial office. The beautiful venue at the Adamantia High School has assisted to make the training a memorable experience for all.

We hope to see everyone again soon!
Below is a picture of one of the groups that all received their certificates. Congratulations to all! Please keep in touch....

Life is made up of small pleasures. Happiness is made up of those tiny successes. The big ones come too infrequently. If you don't have all those zillions of tiny successes, the big ones don't mean anything.
